To mark this year's World Evidence-Based Healthcare Day (World EBHC Day), celebrated under the theme “Evidence and AI – People at the Centre”, the Cochrane Czech Republic team prepared a special feature exploring the use of artificial intelligence in both professional and everyday life.
Through a series of AI-enhanced photographs and short personal reflections, team members shared their experiences with this technology, highlighting its benefits as well as its limitations.
Artificial intelligence is becoming an increasingly important part of our daily lives. It can facilitate everyday tasks, support creativity, improve efficiency and open up new opportunities. However, its outputs need to be critically assessed, verified and interpreted in the appropriate context.
This is particularly important in healthcare. While artificial intelligence can be a valuable tool for working with information and scientific knowledge, it does not replace the need for high-quality, reliable scientific evidence or the professional judgement of healthcare practitioners.
This year's World EBHC Day served as a reminder that, as new technologies continue to evolve, people, their needs and their safety must remain at the centre of attention.
