World Evidence-Based Healthcare (EBHC) Day 2025

EBHC

World Evidence-Based Healthcare (EBHC) Day, observed on October 20th, is an international initiative highlighting the importance of high-quality evidence for healthcare decision-making, policy development, and everyday clinical practice. This day provides a platform for discussing current challenges and trends in healthcare while also recognizing the efforts of researchers, professionals, healthcare workers, and institutions who contribute to improving the quality and outcomes of care.

EBHC emphasizes that knowledge is not static but dynamic—constantly evolving and shaped by interactions among people, the environment, and practice. Sharing, communication, and collaboration across professions and perspectives are essential for delivering equitable, safe, and effective care.

In this post, we share the perspectives of members of Cochrane Czech Republic on the principles of Evidence-Based Healthcare—not only as a professional framework but also as a personal approach to responsibility, collaboration, and trust in science. The accompanying photographs also reveal a glimpse of their personal lives, showing what inspires and energizes them outside of work.
